Vision uses an AI model to explain sessions and patterns in plain words. Summaries help you decide which replays to watch; they do not replace watching them.
Session summaries#
A session summary has a one-line headline, the visitor's likely intent, the outcome of the visit, a confidence score, a short narrative of up to five sentences, and an explanation of each friction with a Jump to button that plays the replay from that moment.
- Automatic. Vision summarises sessions with friction automatically after they are analysed.
- On demand. For any other session, an organisation owner can open the Summary tab and select Summarise this session.
Find them in the Summary tab of a session replay, or ask your AI agent with the get_session_summary tool. The API returns existing summaries only; it never creates new ones.
Pattern summaries#
Each pattern gets a title and three paragraphs: What’s happening, Likely cause (hypothesis) and Test to try. The summary is written when the pattern first appears, then rewritten at most once a day when its number of sessions has changed by 20% or more.
What the model sees#
The model receives the session's timeline, its friction tags, the pages visited and basic session facts (device, duration, conversion). It never receives the raw recording or anything typed into a field. Labels and page text sent to the model are cut to 120 characters, and links or instructions found in the model's answer are removed before it is saved.
Daily limit#
Each organisation has a daily number of AI summaries. Automatic summaries stop at half of it, so the other half stays available for summaries you ask for. Days are counted in UTC.
| Figure on Usage | Meaning |
|---|---|
| AI summaries today | Summaries used today, out of your daily limit. Every attempt counts, including failed ones. |
| Automatic today | Automatic summaries today, out of half the daily limit. |
| AI tokens this month | Model tokens used by your organisation this month. |
When the limit is reached, sessions that were not summarised show Not summarised — daily AI limit reached. Ask again the next day. To change your limit, contact Henkan.
Where the model runs#
Summaries are produced by an OpenAI model through the Lovable AI gateway. See Privacy and security for the list of sub-processors.
